Atenció a les ferides complexes en unitats clíniques de ferides

Abstract

La tesi, “Atenció a les ferides complexes en unitats clíniques de ferides”, és una tesi que pretén aportar innovació per reduir el temps de curació de les ferides, en el context d’una unitat especialitzada. Per aconseguir aquest objectiu planteja tres línies d’investigació que actuen a diferents nivells del procés de curació de les ferides. La primera és un estudi que incideix en la prevenció de les úlceres de pressió de talons, un assaig clínic que compara dues estratègies de prevenció. La segona línia investiga un nou mètode de desbridament, amb la introducció de la hidrocirurgia en l’entorn no quiròfan i realitzat per infermeria, demostrant la seva eficàcia i seguretat. La tercera línia fa referència a la introducció de les teràpies biològiques en la curació de ferides complexes, recerca basada en demostrar que els factors de creixement autòlegs, incrementen la curació de ferides cròniques, és una tècnica aplicable en una unitat especialitzada i que no planteja problemes de seguretat.

“Care for complex wounds in clinical wound units” is a thesis that aims to innovate in order to reduce the healing time of wounds, in the context of a specialized unit. To achieve this goal it proposes three lines of research acting at different levels of the healing process of wounds. The first is a study that focuses on the prevention of heel pressure ulcers; a clinical trial comparing two prevention strategies. The second explores a new method of debridement, with the introduction of hydrosurgery in a non-surgical environment performed by nurses, demonstrating its efficacy and safety. The third refers to the introduction of biological therapies in complex wound healing. This one is based on demonstrating that autologous growth factors increase the rate of healing in chronic complex wounds. This technique can be safely applied in a specialised unit.
