Tractament de fisioteràpia en el Trastorn d’Espectre Autista: hidroteràpia o hipoteràpia?

Abstract

Objectiu: L’objectiu de l’estudi és avaluar l’eficàcia de la teràpia aquàtica en vers la teràpia equina en el tractament de nens d’entre 6 i 9 anys diagnosticats de TEA (Trastorn d’Espectre Autista). Metodologia: L’estudi és un estudi pilot experimental quantitatiu aleatoritzat tipus assaig clínic controlat, amb avaluació cega per a tercers. Es realitzarà l’estudi a l’Hospital Universitari de Vic, la teràpia equina al Centre Hípic EQUUSVIC i la teràpia aquàtica al Club Natació VicETB. En l’estudi hi haurà dos grups de 16 nens d’entre 6 i 9 anys, diagnosticats de TEA amb capacitat física i cognitiva per realitzar les teràpies equina i aquàtica. Un dels grups rebrà la intervenció de teràpia aquàtica i l’altre de teràpia equina. L’obtenció de dades es farà mitjançant quatre valoracions: el Qüestionari de Comunicació Social B (SCQ – B), el RBS – R (Repetitive Behavior Scale), el test de coordinació motriu 3JS i el test Sensory Profile. Limitacions de l’estudi: Les limitacions més importants són la possible desviació dels resultats degut a la selecció del participants segons les seves capacitats per la realització de la teràpia, la variació en la temperatura de l’aigua, les variacions de la interacció entre els nens i els cavalls o els terapeutes, la mostra reduïda i la influencia de l’economia.

Objectives: The aim of the study is to evaluate the efficacy of aquatic therapy versus equine therapy in the treatment of children between 6 and 9 years old diagnosed with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder). Methodology: The study is a pilot randomized quantitative experimental pilot study, a controlled clinical trial with blind evaluation for third parties. The study will be carried out at the Hospital Universitari de Vic, equine therapy in Centre Hípic EQUUSVIC and aquatic therapy at the Club Natació Vic-ETB. There will be two groups of 16 children between 6 and 9 years, diagnosed with ASD with physical and cognitive ability to perform equine and aquatic therapies. One of the groups will receive the intervention of aquatic therapy and the other of equine therapy. Obtaining the data will be done through four evaluations: the Social Communication Questionnaire B (SCQ-B), the RBS-R (Repetitive Behavior Scale), the 3JS motor coordination test and Sensory Profile test. Limitations of the study: The most important limitations are the possible deviation of the results due to the selection of the participants according to their capacities for the realization of the therapy, the variation in the temperature of the water, the variations of the interaction between the children and horses or therapists, the reduced sample and the influence of the economy.
