New materials for teaching vocabulary through stories: Creating and illustrating a storybook for very young EFL learners

Abstract

L'objectiu d'aquest projecte és crear i il·lustrar un conte. Anteriorment, ha estat necessari un treball de recerca, utilitzant la literatura per a crear i il·lustrar la història. La investigació se centra a identificar la importància de les històries pels infants. I aprofundeix, sobretot, en els beneficis que proporcionen les històries en l'adquisició d'una llengua estrangera i quines són les principals característiques de les històries per ser útils per aprendre l'idioma.

The purpose of this project is to create and illustrate a story. In order to do it previous research work on what the relevant literature says it has been necessary to create and illustrate the story. The research has focused on identifying the importance of stories for young children, especially, the benefits that stories provide to young learners when they are acquiring a foreign language and the most useful characteristics of stories to learn the language.
