La interpretación que nos ocupa en este trabajo de investigación examina el conflicto surgido en la década de los años setenta entre Antoni Tàpies y los artistas del conceptualismo catalán, así como las implicaciones estético-políticas originadas por esta polémica. En tal sentido, el trabajo se divide en cuatro capítulos, en el que se haya desarrollado un hilo conductor a partir de la plástica tapiana experimental. El primero de ellos refiere a la pintura matérica de Tàpies desarrollada entre los años cincuenta y finales de los sesenta. Además, el primer capítulo analiza el desarrollo de uno de los aspectos conceptuales: la objetualidad de la actividad artística de Tàpies. Así, el segundo y tercer capítulo expone el objetivo principal de este trabajo sobre La polémica Tàpies y el conceptualismo catalán. El cuarto y último capítulo desarrolla la importante presencia que ha tenido la Fundación Antoni Tàpies en Barcelona en su doble carácter expositivo.^^^^

The interpretation that we are concerned about in this research paper examines the conflict emerged in the Decade of the 1970s between Antoni Tàpies and artists of Catalan Conceptualism, as well as the aesthetic-political implications resulting from this controversy. Accordingly, the work is divided into four chapters, where a guiding thread is developed from the Tapian experimental plastic art. The first of these chapters concerns with Tàpies’ Matter Painting, developed between the 1950s and late 1960s. In addition, the first chapter examines the development of one of the conceptual aspects: the Objectuality of Tàpies’ artistic activity. Consequently, the second and third chapter develop the main objective of this work regarding the controversy between Tàpies and the Catalan Conceptualism. The fourth and final chapter develops the important presence that the Fundació Antoni Tàpies in Barcelona has had in its dual nature exhibition^^^^
