Recently, an increasing number of schools in Catalunya has bet on increasing the amount of time students spend in contact with the foreign language through the CLIL approach. The present study aims at finding out if it is possible to implement this methodology in a maximum complexity school, focusing on a Catalan school where such methodology was implemented many years ago and comparing the current findings with already existent research. The data collected consisted of interviews done to 12 students with different origin countries, different mother tongues and different levels of achievement. They were carried out both in December and in April to know students’ attitude and perception towards the English language in general and the CLIL subjects in particular to analyse the evolution of their answers. Moreover, the sample students were also asked to carry out a written task – again in December and in April – in order to examine if they showed any improvements. Findings seem to show positive benefits both in students’ attitudes and perception of English and in students’ writing competence.^^^^

Cada cop més escoles catalanes aposten per augmentar el nombre d’hores que els i les estudiants passen en contacte amb l’anglès a través de la metodologia CLIL. El present estudi pretén analitzar si és possible implementar aquesta metodologia en una escola de màxima complexitat, basant-se en la realitat d’un cas d’escola catalana on es va implementar fa uns anys i comparant els resultats obtinguts en aquest estudi amb les diferents recerques que s’han fet en relació al CLIL. Així doncs, per dur a terme la recerca, s’han fet entrevistes a 12 alumnes amb diferents nivells d’assoliment –provinents de diferents països d’origen i amb diferents llengües maternes– per conèixer la seva actitud i percepció respecte la llengua anglesa en general i les assignatures que duen a terme en anglès a l’escola en particular, tant al desembre del 2017 com a l’abril del 2018 per analitzar l’evolució de les seves respostes. Alhora, també es va recollir una tasca escrita d’aquests mateixos alumnes tant al desembre com a l’abril per comprovar si mostraven alguna millora. Els resultats, tant a nivell de percepció i actitud respecte la llengua anglesa com a nivell de producció escrita, són favorables en la gran majoria d’alumnes.^^^^
