La realitat de l'estat en coma a través del subjecte i del seu entorn

Abstract

Les alteracions i diferents estats de consciència és quelcom relativament desconegut i poc estudiat. L’objectiu del present treball d’investigació és descriure i analitzar l’experiència vital de l’estat en coma de dos subjectes i de les persones del seu entorn més proper. Presenta una metodologia qualitativa, concretament constructivista d’estudi de cas, ja que es pretén descriure en profunditat i analitzar l’experiència subjectiva dels dos subjectes a partir de dos relats de vida, diversos enregistraments de les persones del nucli familiar i amistats properes, conjuntament amb una ampliació metodològica quantitativa ex-post-facto, a partir de tests psicomètrics, amb la finalitat d’aportar una visió més àmplia i objectiva. Els resultats evidencien la manca d’estudis envers aquesta experiència de risc vital i afectacions emocionals, cognitives, físiques i relacionals, tant en els subjectes propis com en el seu entorn pròxim, destacant les característiques individuals i les diferents vivències d’una mateixa realitat.

Alterations and different states of consciousness are relatively unknown and understudied. The aim of the present study was to describe and analyse the life experience of the coma status of two subjects and of the people in their immediate environment. Based on two life stories and through qualitative research, specifically constructivist case study, an extensive description and analysis of the experiences was made and complemented with several recordings of people from the family and close friendships of the subjects. An ex-post-facto quantitative methodology was used to analyse the psychometric tests performed to the subjects. The results showed lack of studies on this life-threatening experience as well as the emotional, cognitive, physical and relational effects, both in the subjects themselves and in their immediate environment, highlighting the individual characteristics and the different experiences of oneself reality.
