Anàlisi econòmica i financera de la indústria càrnia a Catalunya en el període 2008-2019

Abstract

En aquest treball s’ha elaborat una anàlisi econòmica i financera mitjançant indicadors financers i també s’han analitzat els indicadors no financers de la indústria càrnia a Catalunya durant el període 2008-2009, que engloba la crisi econòmica i l’inici de la pandèmia de la COVID-19, amb l’objectiu de veure quina és l’evolució i situació actual del subsector més important de la indústria alimentària. Primerament s’ha realitzat el marc teòric que engloba la caracterització del sector i la revisió de la literatura. Posteriorment s’ha elaborat un anàlisi amb indicadors financers a través de l’anàlisi dels estats financers i el de les ràtios, d’un total de 13 empreses obtingudes a través de la base de dades SABI mitjançant el filtratge corresponent per obtenir una mostra representativa de la població. A continuació s’ha fet una anàlisi dels indicadors no financers (indicadors mediambientals, indicadors socials i indicadors de govern corporatiu) a través d’una metodologia exploratòria de les pàgines web de les empreses de la mostra objecte d’estudi. S’ha comprovat que la situació financera de la indústria alimentària és bona, ja que, disposa d’una bona solvència a curt termini, les empreses del sector es capitalitzen i el sector experimenta un creixement. Pel que fa a l’anàlisi d’indicadors no financers, els sector encara està lluny d’oferir una bona transparència d’aquest tipus d’informació, ha de millorar en aquest aspecte, doncs la demanda d’informes integrats amb informació financera i no financera és important per a les empreses del sector.

This work has carried out an economic and financial analysis using financial indicators and has also analyzed the non-financial indicators of the meat industry in Catalonia during the period 2008-2009, which includes the economic crisis and the beginning of COVID-19 pandemic, with the purpouse of seeing what was the evolution and also the current situation of the most important subsector of the food industry. First of all the theoretical framework that includes the characterization of the sector and the review of the literature has been carried out. After that an analysis with financial indicators has been prepared through the analysis of the financial statements and the ratios, of a total of 13 companies obtained through the SABI data base and the corresponding filtering to obtain a representative sample. of the population. The following part is an analysis of non-financial indicators (environmental indicators, social indicators and corporate governance indicators) through an exploratory methodology of all the web pages of the companies in the sample under study. The financial situation of the food industry has been proven to be good, as it has good short-term solvency, companies in the sector are capitalizing and the sector is experiencing growth. Regarding the analysis of non-financial indicators, the sector is still far from offering good transparency of this type of information, it must improve in this regard, as the demand for integrated reports with financial information and non-financial is important for companies in the sector.
