Quin impacte evolutiu té l'equitació terapèutica aplicada al Trastorn d'Espectre Autista (TEA)?

Abstract

El tema principal d’aquest treball de recerca i d’investigació és sobre l’equitació terapèutica aplicada a alumnes amb autisme. Per aquest motiu, la principal finalitat d’aquesta recerca és identificar i conèixer com beneficia la teràpia assistida amb cavalls (TAC), concretament l’equitació terapèutica, a l’alumnat amb Trastorn de l’Espectre Autista (TEA). Per portar a terme aquest procés d’investigació ha sigut necessari el disseny d’un projecte d’investigació, que, entre altres tasques, ha suposat l’aplicació d’un seguit d’instruments de recollida de dades, principalment l’entrevista, l’observació i la història de vida. Aquest procés ens ha permès consultar a diferents professionals experts en cavalls i en equitació, i a la mare d’un alumne escolaritzat amb diagnòstic TEA. Per tant, s’ha realitzat un procés d’avaluació i una anàlisi de l’alumne TEA, així com una valoració de l'eficiència de l’equitació terapèutica en aquest usuari en els àmbits emocional, social i cognitiu des de dues perspectives diferents: el centre de teràpia i la família. Els resultats de la investigació realitzada, apunten que, l’equitació terapèutica aporta beneficis als alumnes que presenten aquest trastorn i es confirmen millores en les habilitats comunicatives i d’adquisició del llenguatge, així com de la comprensió emocional.

To carry out this research process it has been necessary to design a research project, which, among other tasks, has involved the application of a series of data collection tools, mainly the interview, observation and life history. This process has allowed us to consult different professionals who are experts in horses and riding, and the mother of a school student with a diagnosis of ASD. Therefore, an evaluation process and an analysis of the ASD student has been carried out, as well as an assessment of the efficiency of therapeutic riding in this user in the emotional, social and cognitive fields from two different perspectives: the center of therapy and the family. The results of the research show that therapeutic riding brings benefits to students with this disorder and confirms improvements in communication skills and language acquisition, as well as emotional understanding.
