L’acompanyament postpenitenciari a Catalunya

Abstract

El present treball sorgeix de l'interès per l'àmbit penitenciari i els coneixements adquirits en diferents assignatures del Grau d'Educació Social, sobre comunitat i exclusió social. Després d'una exploració pel camp objecte d'estudi, s'ha afirmat que els recursos i oportunitats oferts a les persones que finalitzen una condemna privativa de llibertat a Catalunya, són escassos. A més a més, en el cas de finalitzar la condemna en 2n grau, s'afegeixen dificultats derivades de l'absència d'un referent que els acompanyi en el procés de reinserció social. En aquest treball es realitza una aproximació a les formes d'intervenció existents amb la població penitenciària, en el qual es valora la incidència d'acompanyar la persona en la transició cap a la vida en llibertat, com un model per afavorir la consolidació dels aprenentatges fets, la reinserció social i el posterior discurs desistent.

The present study arises from my personal interest in the penitentiary field and the knowledge acquired in different subjects about community and social exclusion in the degree of Social Education. After some previous field work, it has been claimed that the resources and opportunities offered to inmates, who have been sentenced to prison in Catalonia, are limited. In addition, when ending a second -degree sentence, there exist other difficulties such as the inexistence of a referee or a supporter who helps the offenders in the process of reintegration into society following imprisonment. In this piece of work an approximation of the existing forms of intervention within the prison population has been carried out, and the post incarceration accompaniment in the transition from the prison to the community has turned out to be a crucial issue. This accompaniment should become a model which would favor the social readjustment and the following desistance discourse.
