“Cuerpos Indomables”. Trencant amb la normativitat femenina a través de la fotografia

Abstract

Aquest treball consisteix en la producció i mostra d'una exposició fotogràfica que reflecteixi la no-normativitat femenina, és a dir, aquells cossos de dones que no són ben vistos per la societat i que no entren en la norma del cànon de bellesa occidental actual. Com es pot veure en aquest treball, a l’apartat de l’enquesta que es recull a l’ANNEX Enquesta, p. 80, les respostes que van donar les persones que la van respondre sobre el cànon de bellesa gira entorn d'una figura esvelta i alta, amb uns atributs facials amb el màxim de simetria possible, pell fina i amb el mínim pèl possible arreu del cos i, sobretot, sense greix. La intenció de la mostra és reflexionar sobre els cossos normatius femenins, aquells que venen imposats de la societat i s'inculquen a través de la publicitat, els mitjans de comunicació, el cinema i, sobretot, les xarxes socials. A través de l'exposició fotogràfica es pretén captar la consciència de la gent mostrant com són els cossos reals, i fent veure que cada persona és única sense necessitat de canviar físicament. Un treball per a tots els públics, perquè la societat la conformem totes les persones què hi convivim, però sobretot, fet des del punt de vista de les dones joves que es veuen silenciades perquè no poden mostrar els seus cossos i per tant, també conformen el principal públic. En aquest treball han participat moltes persones anònimes, que han acceptat de fer de model per la realització de les fotografies que formen part de l’exposició. A partir dels testimonis de les models i una enquesta difosa, s'han recollit opinions sobre com influeixen els cànons de bellesa personalment i s'ha plasmat en el treball escrit i en l'exposició física i el web del projecte. El resultat de "Cuerpos Indomables" és la crítica al que imposa la societat i, alhora, l'autoconeixement i autoestima de cuidar-se i no voler assemblar-se a la imatge i figura femenina que es veu representada tant a mitjans de comunicació com a xarxes socials, a més de valorar el cos propi i aprendre a valorar també el que cadascuna troba com a defecte. Finalment, es conclou que seguir la norma física influeix negativament al conjunt de la societat, fent creure que si no se segueix el cànon de bellesa, ets inferior, i que cada vegada més persones reivindiquen poder mostrar els seus cossos lliurement sense haver de ser censurats.

This project consists in the production and sample of a photography exhibition that reflects the female non-normative bodies, those who are not well seen by the society and the ones that don't enter the norm of the present European standards. The current beauty canon or beauty standards, as was collected in an owner survey, figure as a slender, tall figure, facial attributes with as much symmetry as possible, thin skin and as little hair as possible around the body and, above all, not fat. The intention of the exhibition is breaking the patterns of female normative bodies, those that are imposed by society and instilled through advertising, the media, cinema and social media. The aim of the photographic exhibition is to capture people's awareness by showing what real bodies are like, and showing that each person is unique without the need of physical change. A piece of work for all audiences, because society is made up of all the people who live here, but done from the point of view of young women who are silenced for not being able to show their bodies, the reason why they are also the main audience. Based on the testimonies of the models who have participated and a survey, it has been possible to gather opinions on how beauty canons influence them personally and it has been possible to reflect it in the written work, in the physical exhibition and in the project website, making them part of the work and an essential part, as without them the sample would not exist. The result of "Cuerpos Indomables" is the criticism of what society imposes on us and the self-knowledge and self-esteem by taking care of ourselves and not wanting to look like what we see, in addition to valuing every part of our body and learning to value as well what each one finds as a defect. Finally, it is concluded that following the physical norm negatively influences society to believe that if you do not follow the canon of beauty, you do not have enough courage, and that more and more people claim to be able to show their bodies freely without having to be censored.
