The current paper it is placed in a food products business located in Osona, precisely
in one of its packaging processes. In this section a certain product is packaged in a
still way and several quality controls are made, one of which and the one we will be
working on it is the verification of the sealing of the container, so it is correct and it does
not present any leaking. At this stage several products that come from the production
process are randomly and periodically checked as to know if they are leaking, being
this checked entirely manual. Given the opportunity of improvement at this point, its
proposed to automate the entire quality process.
In order to link the different areas and to manipulate the containers we will be studying
the possibility of introducing a robot, since robotic processes are increasingly used in
industrial contexts. These can be industrial robots or collaborative robots (Cobots), but
in the ongoing case we will be using collaborative robot in order to interact with the
current staff and without needing delimitations nor barriers between them.
To check if the containers have any slits or rifts, those are introduced in an analyzer
with water where – after closing the lid – pressure its removed from the inside and
containers are swelled, and if any leak happens, bubbles come out to the surface. In
order to determinate whether the product is correct or not, the human visual
supervision is needed, that is why it is believed appropriate to apply artificial vision at
this point in order to have a fix criterium.
Once known the state of the container, in case that it is not correct, the packaging
machines must be checked and required measures must be taken in order that no
more defective products come out of them. In addition, the defective packaging must
then be reserved to be checked in more detail. If the container is correct, its product
must be taken out in order to re-introduce them back in the production process and re pack it. Also, the defective packaging must be recycled.
Cutting elements are used to open the container and therefore it is a conflicting point,
so the author of this paper has designed and built an automatic cutter thus eliminating
the point of conflict in the area and finalizing the quality process itself.
Therefore, initially a process of quality control was completely manual and with the
present work has been sought the formula for the automation of the process by means
of an artificial vision camera to search for leaks, a collaborative robot to go to the
different parts of the project and the design and construction of a cutter to open the
containers and separate the packaging from the product.^^^^

El present treball estarà situat en una empresa de la comarca d’Osona que elabora
productes alimentaris, en específic a un dels seus processos d’envasat. En aquesta
secció s’envasa un determinat producte de manera estanca i s’hi fan una sèrie de
controls de qualitat, un d’ells i sobre el que treballarem, és el de la comprovació del
segellat d’aquest envàs que sigui correcte i no presenti cap fuita. En aquest punt es
comprova a l’atzar i de manera periòdica diferents envasos que surten del procés
productiu si presenten fuites, sent aquesta comprovació totalment manual. Vista
l’oportunitat de millora en aquest punt es planteja automatitzar tot el procés de qualitat.
Per la manipulació dels envasos i poder enllaçar les diferents zones que tindrem
s’estudia la possibilitat d’introduir un robot, en el món industrial i cada vegada amb
més força, s’utilitzen processos robotitzats en diferents zones. Aquests poden ser
robots industrials o robots col·laboratius (Cobots), en el present treball utilitzarem els
robots col·laboratius per poder interactuar amb el personal i sense haver de restringir
o posar balles en la zona de treball del robot.
Per comprovar si els envasos presenten fuites o no, s’introdueixen en un recipient amb
aigua on després de tancar la tapa treu pressió de l’interior de manera que els envasos
s’inflen i en el cas d’haver-hi alguna fuita surten bombolles cap a la superfície, la
determinació si el producte és correcte o no el dona la visió humana per això es creu
convenient l’aplicació de visió artificial en aquest punt per tal de tenir un criteri fix.
Una vegada determinat si l’envàs és correcte o no, en el cas que no sigui correcte s’ha
de prendre les mesures necessàries en les màquines que envasen per tal que no surti
cap més producte defectuós i es reserven els envasos defectuosos per ser revisats
amb més detall, si és correcte s’ha de procedir a l’obertura d’aquest i extracció del
producte per reintroduir-lo al procés productiu de nou i tornar a ser envasat i per altra
banda reciclar l’envàs. Per obrir l’envàs s’utilitzen elements tallants i per tant és un
punt conflictiu, per això l’autor del present treball ha dissenyat i construït un tallador
automàtic i d’aquesta manera s’eliminarà també el punt conflictiu de la zona acabant
així amb tot el procés de qualitat.
Per tant, inicialment es disposava d’un procés de control de qualitat totalment manual
i amb el present treball s’ha buscat la fórmula per l’automatització del procés
mitjançant una càmera de visió artificial per buscar les fuites, un robot col·laboratiu per
anar a les diferents parts del projecte i el disseny i construcció d’un tallador per obrir
els envasos i separar l’envàs del producte.^^^^
