Una realitat amagada: anàlisi de l’impacte psicoemocional sobre el professorat hospitalari

Abstract

“Tenim tendència a pensar que podem amb tot i de vegades no és cert”. Ho diu amb coneixement de causa una mestra d’una unitat hospitalària. I és que hi ha moments de la vida, en què cal l’ajuda dels altres. I aquest és l’eix vertebrador del present estudi que pretén donar resposta al següent interrogant: quins són els aspectes psicoemocionals bàsics pel bon desenvolupament professional de la tasca docent en una unitat hospitalària? Per tant, el principal objectiu és donar veu a les mestres de les unitats hospitalàries que s’enfronten dia a dia amb el pitjor que pot passar a l’ésser humà, la malaltia o la pèrdua d’un ésser estimat. Així doncs, primer es narren evidències teòriques en relació amb tot el que representa la unitat hospitalària, les quals ens permeten arribar fins al que centra l’atenció de la investigació, la mestra hospitalària i la seva realitat psicoemocional. L’estudi té un caràcter qualitatiu interpretatiu on la història biogràfica-narrativa de les docents hospitalàries és essencial per palpar les evidències i experiències professionals. Així, copsar aquella realitat intangible, moltes vegades invisible, mitjançant l’ús de qüestionaris i entrevistes. Eines que ens permeten mostrar aquesta realitat amagada sobre la tasca d’aquestes docents i la necessitat d’idear un suport psicoemocional per a aquestes, que sovint es troben al límit emocional.

“We tend to think that we can deal with anything and that is not true”. This is said with full knowledge of the facts by a teacher in a hospital unit. There are moments in life when you need the help of others. And this is the backbone of the present study that aims to answer the following question: what are the basic psychoemotional aspects for a good professional development of teaching work in a hospital unit? Therefore, the main aim is to give voice to the teachers of the hospital units who are confronted on a daily basis with the worst thing that can happen to a human being, the illness, or the loss of a loved one. First, I have narrated theoretical evidence of what a hospital unit represents with relation to the center of my research being the teachers and their psychoemotional realities within a hospital environment. The study has a qualitative, interpretative character where the biographical-narrative history of the hospital teachers is essential to perceive the evidence and professional experiences. In this way, we are able to grasp that intangible reality, often invisible through questionaries and interviews, tools that allow us to show this hidden reality about the work of these teachers and the need to devise a psychoemotional support for those who are often at an emotional limit.
