Perishable food are goods that lose their properties and deteriorate under certain environmental conditions. For this reason, all vehicles transporting such goods must carry on board an-ATP certificate of conformity, which guarantees that the technical requirements for maintaining the minimum temperature and keeping foodstuffs in perfect condition are met. To obtain this certificate, it is necessary to carry out a thermal transmission coefficient (k) test.
Applus IDIADA proposes the construction of a climatic chamber to carry out this test. This project aims to describe the entire process.
The document is structured as follows: It will begin with a theoretical framework on the study of the regulations applicable to these vehicles, their approval process and the types that will require testing. Then, in the practical part, the technical study of the construction of the climatic chamber will be carried out and internal documents will be drawn up to facilitate the performance of the test.^^^^
