In this work, we want to observe from the journalistic ethics the images of the first sixty days of the war in Ukraine, published by the main Spanish and international media. It is carried out with the desire to know how newspapers act in the face of the collision of collective and individual rights, which entails the publication of war photographs. The initial hypothesis of the work is that the rotators have indeed been able to reconcile correctly in the face of the clash of rights. The second hypothesis is that in order to achieve this good reconciliation, the media work following current ethical codes and ensure that individual rights are respected. To contrast these claims, we used the qualitative content analysis methodology in the images published by the Ara, La Vanguardia and The Guardian newspapers. Likewise, we interviewed the defender of the reader of La Vanguardia, Joel Albarrán, to find out how the editorial office deals with the publication of sensitive images. In the results of the research we can observe how the media are guided by their own editorial line to mark their own ethical limits in the publication of images of the conflict. Mostly, the media follow what the ethical codes of the profession express by affirming our initial hypotheses.
