Les addiccions que destapa la pandèmia

Abstract

La crisi mundial causada per la COVID-19 va suposar un canvi per la societat, en el comportament de les persones modificant conductes, hàbits, rutines, a més de portar múltiples conseqüències. El confinament associat a la situació pandèmica ha produït certs canvis en els hàbits de consum de drogues i en les addiccions. El present estudi tracta sobre les addiccions en els joves i com aquest va afectar en el confinament amb relació a la crisi de la COVID-19. S’han escollit quatre addiccions diferents, perquè són les més prevalents entre els joves, com són l’alcohol, el tabac, el cànnabis i els jocs i apostes online. A més les tecnologies de la comunicació i de la informació, les xarxes socials i mitjans digitals han facilitat l’accés a les addiccions, així com els jocs d’apostes i d’entreteniment en totes les seves formes, sent un dels sectors més creixents dels últims anys. La investigació s’ha realitzat a través d’un disseny basat en un qüestionari i tres entrevistes semiestructurades, amb la combinació d’una metodologia quantitativa i qualitativa que es complementen.

The world crisis caused by the COVID-19 meant a change for the society, in the behavior of people, habits, routines, and bringing multiple consequences. The confinement associated with the pandemic situation has produced changes in drug consumption habits and addictions. The present study deals with how the confinement of the COVID-19 affected the addictions of young people. We dealt with four different addictions, the most prevalent among young people. Such as alcohol, tobacco, cannabis and online gambling. At the same time, communication and information technologies, social networks and digital media have facilitated access to addictions, gambling and entertainment in all its forms, being one of the fastest growing sectors in recent years. The research has been carried out through a design based on a questionnaire and three semi-structured interviews, with the combination of a quantitative and qualitative methodology that complement each other.
