Aprendre del carrer: etnografia per a una pedagogia de carrer

Abstract

El carrer és un espai de relació, un lloc de trobada entre persones desconegudes que conviuen i entre totes creen el model de societat. Dins d’aquests espais podem observar les relacions de poder que es reprodueixen, l’arquitectura que sovint no pensa en totes les persones i la utilitat que li donem a aquests espais. Però el carrer també té potencialitats educatives, és un lloc on podem escoltar a les persones, crear espais de seguretat i cures i detectar i reivindicar les desigualtats socials. Aquesta recerca és una etnografia sobre l’espai públic, on mitjançant observacions, converses, escoltant diferents veus i amb el diari de camp sempre a mà, he anat resolent dubtes sobre aquests espais de relació i compartint tot allò que hi anava aprenent. Durant la recerca m’han acompanyat teòrics com Manuel Delgado o Jane Jacobs, que gràcies a les seves aportacions he pogut entendre una mica millor com ens movem pel carrer i quins són aquells elements que t’expulsen o t’inclouen. Per concloure la recerca he elaborat uns Apunts per a la pedagogia de carrer, que volen ser una aproximació als principis educatius que ha de tenir un espai per poder ser segur, respectuós i comunitari.

The street is a space of relationships; for encounters between people that have never met before but that coexist in a same place and create a social model. Inside these spaces we can observe how the power relationships display, how the architecture often doesn’t keep in mind all the people living there, and the utility that all of us give to those shared spaces. But the street also has educational potential, it’s a place where people can be listened, where we can create room for security and cure. So, we all can be aware of and protest the social inequalities around us. This research is an ethnography of public space where, by observating, conversating, and listening different voices, I made a field journal where I am able to share all I have learnt. During my research I have had the support of different theorists, such as Manuel Delgado or Jane Jacobs, who’s contributions helped me understand much better how people move on the streets, and which are the elements that include or exclude somebody socially. To conclude my research, I elaborated a series of Annotations for the pedagogy on the streets that can be an approximation to the educative principles that a shared space should have to become a safe, respectful and community place.
