L’especialització hemisfèrica es pot veure reflectida en la preferència manual en els humans, que presentem una especialització en l’hemisferi esquerre i tenim una preferència manual per la dreta, això és el resultat de pressions evolutives. Per comprendre millor aquesta tendència és important que ens fixem en els nostres avantpassats primats no humans i estudiem la lateralitat manual. Aquest és el primer estudi que es realitza en Mico de Malbrouk Chlorocebus cynosuros, Mico de cua vermella Cercopithecus ascacius ,Mico cara de mussol Cercophitecus hamlyi, Mico Cercophitecus mitis Mico de l’hoest Cercophitecus l’hoesti i pretén presentar una aproximació a les seves preferències manuals a través de la tasca tub analitzant les seves freqüències i bouts. Els resultats han mostrat una lateralització manual del 89,5% dels individus però només a nivell de grup per Chlorocebus cynosuros, i Cercopithecus ascacius. Referent al sexe no s’ha detectat cap preferència manual. El dit més utilitzat per dur a terme aquesta tasca va ser l’índex com ja s’havia previst anteriorment.^^^^

Hemispheric specialization can be reflected on the handeness preference, in humans. We present a specialization in the left hemisphere, and we have a manual preference for the right hand, as a result of evolutionary pressures. For a better understanding of this trend, it is important to study manual laterality in our nonhuman primate ancestors. This is the first study conducted on Malbrouck monkey Chlorocebus cynosuros, Red-tailed monkey Cercopithecus ascacius, Hamlyn's monkey Cercophitecus hamlyi, Blue monkey Cercophitecus mitis , L'hoest's monkey Cercophitecus l'hoesti. The study aims to present an approach to their manual preferences through the tube task by analyzing their frequencies and bouts. The results showed a manual lateralization of 89.5% of the individuals but only at the group level for Chlorocebus cynosuros, and Cercopithecus ascacius. No manual preferences were detected for sex. The finger used to perform this task was the index, as previously expecte.^^^^
