Efectivitat de l’equinoteràpia en la millora de l’equilibri en infants d’entre 6 i 12 anys amb Trastorn de l’Espectre Autista

Abstract

Objectiu: L’objectiu d’aquest estudi és avaluar l’eficàcia de l’equinoteràpia en la millora de l’equilibri en infants d’entre 6 i 12 anys diagnosticats de TEA (Trastorn d’Espectre Autista). Metodologia: L’estudi és un estudi pilot experimental quantitatiu aleatoritzat tipus assaig clínic controlat, amb avaluació cega per tercers. Es realitzarà l’estudi a la Universitat de Vic i les sessions d’equinoteràpia al Centre Hípic EQUUSVIC. Hi haurà dos grups de 15 pacients diagnosticats de TEA, d’entre 6 i 12 anys, distribuïts aleatòriament. Un grup (grup d’intervenció) rebrà la teràpia equina i l’altre grup (grup control) no rebrà cap tractament. Limitacions: Les limitacions més importants són la possible desviació dels resultats degut a la selecció dels participants (retirada dels infants amb més severitat de TEA), la mostra reduïda i la influència de l’economia.

Objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of equine therapy in improving the balance of children between 6 and 12 years old diagnosed with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder). Methodology: The study is a pilot randomized quantitative experimental pilot study, a controlled clinical trial with blind evaluation for third parties. The study will be carried out at the University of Vic and the equine therapy sessions in Centre Hípic EQUUSVIC. There will be two groups of 15 patients between 6 and 12 years old diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), distributed randomly. One group (intervention group) will receive equine therapy and the other group (control group) will not receive any treatment. Limitations: The most important limitations are the possible deviation of the results due to the selection of the participants (withdrawal of children with severe ASD), the reduced sample and the influence of the economy.
